Chris Dunn's '89 Skyline R32 GTS-T

Recently I posted on my personal Facebook that I was in search for a car to feature for the blog. I had a few takers and decided to go with someone I met not long after I arrived in Tokyo, Chris Dunn. From seeing his car around/seeing him working on the car, I knew that this was the only feasible option.

Here is a little back story on the owner, Chris: I’m from Phoenix, Arizona and been working on cars for 12 years. I have mainly owned Japanese sport compacts and this is my first Nissan. As a former car mechanic he now works on aircraft for the US Air Force.

The car has an impressive list of mods for how stock the car looks.

The interior is where I am impressed the most. For being almost 23 years old, the interior is immaculate.

Now here is something you don't happen to see often, completely polished brake calipers. And the happen to be topped with a beautiful set of Rays Engineering Nismo LMGT4s

Story on the Car
The skyline was purchased in March of 2012 from a local dealer in Tokyo, Japan. Chris
decided to purchase a R32 because he would be able to import the car when his tour in Japan is completed(25 years and older importation law).

The car was bought completely stock
with 81,000Km (50,331mi). The first modifications Chris made were to the audio system
including, Pioneer’s 7’’ headunit, Alpine 6.5 speakers, and a Alpine 12’’ Subwoofer.
Several parts were sent to his hometown of Phoenix, AZ to get powercoated and
polished. The RB20DET motor remains stock internally, boosting around 1 bar on a
stock turbo.
Chris decided to complement the motor with bolt-on power-adders until the car
is imported into the US. He also decided to stay with the same suspension company he have
been using for years Tein and used their Type Flex Coilovers.

The interior and exterior
remain fairly stock and most importantly clean. Chris plans on having engine, turbo, body, and
paint work done when the car is in the US.
